If your roof is in need of replacement or repair (or if your roof is installed by an unqualified roofing contractor), it could cost you hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars in energy costs over the course of the year.

Budget Quote.....
This is really the best way to go about it, as there are many different situations, and sometimes several solutions. The age of the roof compared to cost of repair sometimes needs to be analyzed. In these times, we can get a “budget” quote to you fairly quickly to make decisions.
Re-Roofing.....
Re-Roofing means taking off a roof covering down to the plywood and installing a complete new roofing system back. There was a time that when re-roofing we would actually consider going over an existing roofing system with another second layer. Since the code changes and the current insurance requirements, going over existing roofing systems is possible, but not very common or wise anymore.
Things to Ponder.....
The way the code reads, it is possible or allowed, but it is not a good idea. Case in point, an asphalt shingle roof will not get the wind warranty or wind rating from the manufacturer when installing as a second layer. So, in this area, that elevated wind rating is required for a new roof to be code compliant. It’s a catch-22. So, currently we are tearing off and installing new systems as our only re-roofing option.
